Very old union case embellished with geometric scroll patterns. Includes a ruby ambrotype photograph of a gentleman from the late 1800s to early 1900s.
The case is the union style, developed by Samuel Peck and Alfred Critchlow in the early 1850s. Smooth hinges, clasp works, and engravings are detailed.
Features a velvet pillow cushion with a geometric design and an oval, gold gilt looking frame. Labeled as "GENUINE."
