Vintage 1960's Hanova of Pasadena, CA Brutalist/Retro Modern hanging candle holder. Features a heavy gauge copper/metal construction with orange lava enamel finish. Measures 17” tall & about 10 1/2” wide. No damage.
HANOVA OF PASADENA: Founded in 1962 by Erwin Prust and Bob Hill in Hollywood, California. They pioneered enamel coating on steel using a small furnace. Production later moved to Pasadena, CA. Hill designed the pieces, while Prust perfected the enamel lava and crazing texturing technique on steel, a signature of their work. The surface finish required three coats of enamel, each fired independently at approximately 1400 degrees. Steel was cleaned, etched, and fired. A unique vintage find for collectors!
